1. Who we are
Fils is a trade identity of Al-Maghanem Trading Establishment (مؤسسة المغانم التجارية), a company established in the Sultanate of Oman, licensed to provide accounting and financial services by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Sultanate of Oman.
Registered address: Building No. 821, Grand Mosque Street, Ghubra Industrial Area, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Website: www.fils.om. Email: info@fils.om. Phone: +968 97075469. Working hours: Sunday to Thursday, 09:00–17:00 (Gulf Standard Time).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices available to you. "We", "us" and "our" mean Al-Maghanem Trading Establishment (مؤسسة المغانم التجارية) (trading as Fils).
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Contact details — name, email address and phone number you provide when booking a meeting through the "Book a Meeting" form or when contacting us directly.
- Booking details — the service and topic you select and your preferred meeting date and time.
- Communication data — messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Usage data — when you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect aggregated usage statistics such as pages visited, sessions, approximate location and device type. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
3. WhatsApp and other messaging
When you contact us on WhatsApp (or on any other messaging channel we offer), you consent to receiving messages from us about your enquiry and our services, including appointment confirmations, reminders and follow-ups. Messaging is typically initiated by you on the phone number published on this website and in our marketing materials.
You can withdraw this consent at any time:
- Reply "STOP" or "إيقاف" to any WhatsApp message and you will no longer receive marketing or follow-up messages from us on that channel.
- Email us at info@fils.om with the subject "WhatsApp opt-out" and your phone number, and we will remove it from our messaging lists.
- Change platform settings — you can also block our number within WhatsApp at any time.
We respect your choice: opting out of WhatsApp messages does not stop essential transactional communication (such as a meeting confirmation you requested), but we will only send those if you have already requested them.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax and consulting services.
- To schedule, confirm and manage meetings you book through the website.
- To send reminders and follow-up messages via your chosen channel (with your consent).
- To maintain our accounting and client-relationship records, and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations in the Sultanate of Oman.
- To understand how visitors use the website and to improve it, using only anonymised analytics.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — store your language selection, theme preference and cookie-consent choice. These load on every visit.
- Analytics cookies — only load after you press "Accept" on the consent banner. These come from Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (which records anonymised session replays and heatmaps). If you press "Decline", no analytics or tracking script loads at all.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies and site data for this website, then browsing again and choosing a new option on the banner.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers that operate the website and its tools — including our hosting provider, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (each processes usage data under its own privacy framework), and WhatsApp / Meta (see Section 3).
- Professional advisors, regulators or courts, where required by Omani law or to protect our legal rights.
7. Data retention
We keep booking and communication records for as long as needed to provide our services and for the retention periods required by Omani commercial and tax law. Usage analytics are retained by Google and Microsoft according to their own retention policies.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — access controls, secure storage, staff confidentiality obligations — to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, consistent with the Oman Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022) requirements.
9. Your rights
Under applicable law (including the Oman Personal Data Protection Law), you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw your consent to WhatsApp and analytics processing at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the competent Omani authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@fils.om — we will respond within a reasonable time and verify your identity first.
10. Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the date of the last update shown under the title.
